1222807 2011-08-13 04:49:00 Recently it's just been people from Africa with large bank balances they need to send to me.

I wonder what would happen if you appeared to have "bought in" by making an initial and very positive response, got them well hooked, then emailed back using a new Gmail account set up for the purpose 'in order to keep our correspondence confidential' and say 'sorry, I am keen to assist you but my bank wants to charge me a fee I can't afford to set up a confidential account, so please me an advance on my fee of (say) $5000 via Western Union'.

It would either get rid of them pronto, or if they buy in themselves, you might get lucky with the odd extra 10 or $15,000 to help you 'put the bank auditor or manager in your pocket'. Especially if you hinted that you have a prior record on overseas money issues.

Avarice and stupidity cut both ways.

Cheers

1222808 2011-08-13 21:26:00 Ah yes, my 1st ebay purchase about a month ago gave me that nice virus. Was a bit nervous with my 2nd one last week, bit hard when the sellers email just says Package shipped. In future must see if they can put subject in header. Clod (7853)
