1248932 2011-12-16 02:13:00 Has anyone tried the 64 bit version?? (news.softpedia.com) Its an Alpha version, and has just come out. Doesnt look too bad, I'm trying it out now. Its probably full of bugs, I'll soon find out. One good thing about it, it will run Intel 32-bit architecture from within a 64-bit Opera process. Just tried adding the FF WMP plugin files into the plugin folder (which are 32 bit). And sure enough they work Speedy Gonzales (78)
1248933 2011-12-16 03:25:00 That's good as when I tried FF64 bit none of the addons worked but that was last year gary67 (56)
1248934 2011-12-16 03:31:00 Yup, I'm pretty sure this is or will be the only 64 bit browser that'll support 32 bit plugins Speedy Gonzales (78)
1248935 2011-12-16 03:38:00 Yup just downloaded the Waterfox 64bit version of FF and its a lot quicker the the 32 bit but none of my plugins work but all the addons work. gary67 (56)
1248936 2011-12-16 03:45:00 Yup, Ive tried both of those as well. And found the same thing. I think most addons work with both browsers. Since theyre not 32 or 64 bit. But the plugins (like the WMP one) are Speedy Gonzales (78)
1248937 2011-12-16 04:17:00 That's OK the only plugin I actually use is the PDF one and I can live without that for now, think I'm going to stick with the 64FF for a while gary67 (56)
1248938 2011-12-16 05:29:00 Though not the Alfa 12.00 version , am finding the 11.60 release quite a bit quicker than the other 11 series and quite a defined jump since Opera 9.5 (kestrel) Lawrence (2987)
