Sold standalone they did have 3 years. Sold as part of Compaq or other "brand PCs" they only had 1 year. |

While the following is from Western Digital difference-between-wd-oem-vs.-retail-(rtl)-drives (wdc.custhelp.com(rtl)-drives) the same applies to Seagate. This here (www.ehow.com) explains it as well. |
