| 1250313 | 2011-12-22 08:48:00 | on my laptop whenever I try to turn it on it comes up with os not found. Recently I tried to install win 7 and it can't find any drives at all. plz help me. Extra info was running windows vista basic. |

| 1250314 | 2011-12-22 08:54:00 | Sounds like it needs SATA drivers. Altho Win7 should have SATA drivers on the DVD. Not too sure about Vista basic tho. Try disabling AHCI mode in the BIOS. See if the install finds the hdd | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

| 1250316 | 2011-12-23 05:36:00 | I had similar problems with my brother's Toshiba. My eventual conclusion was that the HDD controller had failed, and was wrongly reporting the HDD size. If you can determine a solution I'd be keen to hear it. |
