| 1224785 | 2011-08-21 03:48:00 | Most recently many of the users and non users would heard of and experienced the uselessness of the new FB Chat, what I cant understand is WHY its so useless. I mean, most people complain about new things because its different and they are not used to it and it all simmers down once they get used to the new look and feel as well as begin to learn to use the new/added features. So far the ONLY thing that the new chat has provided as far as I can tell is a more economical way of displaying it, making use of extra horizontal space in modern widescreen displays however the rest is completely senseless, as most of you probably know it displays assorted people who it deems you contact most. The rest you have to search for. IMO it should have 2x variables for the display order, people online and people contacted most so it would list the most contacted currently online people first. the rest can be searched, none of these offline chappies cluttering space, whats the point in that? Right now I have about 20 people, 4 online. Retarded. The other thing is it has a useless scroll bar implemented with a mouseover right next to the browsers page scroll. its not even useful for touchscreens since you cant click anywhere in the chat box to move it, oooh no you have to click the bloody narrrow bar wedged in next to the browsers scroll bar. You cant even use a mouse wheel. Cannot wait for Google+ to go live, silly gmail thinks i'm under age. Even though I was never asked for an age at signup and my youtube acct works fine with all sorts of violence, language etc FB had become a place for half brained designers to flaunt their retardation. The likes of which whome should be left in dark rooms where they can sodomize themselves with ball mice for eternity away from normal society. I don't always have the option to "limit availability"... I guess I have to wait till the people I don't want to see online come online before I can hide from them... Mind you, this could all be a massive conspiracy for everyone to ditch FB chat and just use Skype which seems to have some sort of integration... Which I haven't looked at because I don't really care to see even 1/10th of my FB friends on Skype on a round the clock basis... Everything MS touches seems to turn into poop :p |

If you mouse over it and scroll you can use the scroll wheel . As pcuser said, use another chat client if it bothers you that much . Is it really that hard to look at the little green dots next to peoples names? Or look on the right hand side of your screen and see peoples profile pictures? There's scripts for both Firefox and Chrome which IIRC revert the chat back to the previous version . |

I used to use an addon but I dont think you need one now. If you click on the last icon down the bottom (if chat is on the right), it goes back to the original chat | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

And to save whoever telling me whats going on. Or wasting money ringing me. I decided to go back on it. I'll probably remove myself again once the reunion is over. Since, I don't do anything else on FB (like play games on there) |
