Much more exciting to believe there is a mountain lion wandering around!!! :) If it were a Maine Coon cat I imagine that someone would be own up to it - they are not that common in NZ and are quite expensive, so the likelihood of it being a 'stray' Maine Coon is pretty low	johcar (6283)

I have met two Maine Coon cats (with different owners); they are the most amazing creatures and with beautiful temperaments. 1224277	2011-08-19 03:20:00	Surely there is no reason that feral cats cannot selectively breed to large sizes. Imagine a large tom mating with a large female and them their offspring inbreeding etc etc. I don't have a problem with beleiving that they can throw back to large sizes. Domestic cats were bred down to managable sizes.	theother1 (3573)
