1249917 2011-12-22 20:49:00 :D lol :D to the vista comment I heard it was worse than XP more of a downgrade than up. but the win8 is suppose to support multiple monitors run your tv n cp same time

Multiple monitors are supported by Windows XP too...

Your DirectX might say 9.0c but that won't guarantee it's up to date with all the little updates they released after that.

Best way to check if your DirectX is up to date is to download the updater from www.microsoft.com and it will make sure you have the latest updates.

Or you can get the full package from here: www.microsoft.com that you can keep and install without needing an Internet connection.

1249918 2011-12-22 21:07:00 Yeah there's like a dozen iterations of DX9.0c :-/ Chilling_Silence (9)
1249919 2011-12-26 03:18:00 windows 8 is a load of bollocks it is going to be designed for tablet like pcs like allin0ne pcs that have a keyboard and a touchscreen only no mouse jxer4567 (16665)
1249920 2011-12-26 03:23:00 Only if you choose to have metro turned on. icow (15313)
1249921 2011-12-27 19:16:00 Yeah I disagree, it's designed with them in mind, but not JUST for tablets and the likes. It's actually not bad once you get used to it, and for most people it'll be a nice simplification of how they work. Chilling_Silence (9)
1249922 2011-12-30 04:06:00 it will be yes but even without metro its quite horrible to use maybe because ive used loads of OSs in my lifetime but like exporer now looks too much u knw nd task manager has turned to rubbish jxer4567 (16665)
1249923 2011-12-30 04:10:00 Isn't windows 8 getting the new task manager? I was under the impression it had barely changed since 98. icow (15313)
1249924 2011-12-30 04:23:00 Yeah it has got a new one. Problem is, it's pretty weird. Agent_24 (57)
