1224889 2011-08-22 04:10:00 I'm looking for a 27C256 (or a 28C256 might do it) EPROM for a project. These seem to be generally rather old.

Was wondering if anyone had spares they don't need or some they would be willing to sell.

I may also be interested in larger sizes for future use.

1224890 2011-08-22 04:39:00 Looks like Jaycar sell them (www.jaycar.co.nz). And GlobalPC (www.globalpc.co.nz) Speedy Gonzales (78)
1224891 2011-08-22 06:39:00 I can't remember whether I have any old '256 EPROMs lying around at work, but definitely have a bunch of larger ones, plus a few samples of Flash variants we never got around to using in products (eg AT29C512). I'll have a look around when I get in tomorrow. MushHead (10626)

Trying to avoid Jaycar etc, for components like that they're quite a ripoff.

1224893 2011-08-22 07:36:00 A quick search in my garage revealed about half a dozen of these, they are pulls so cant guarantee them custom (14911)
1224894 2011-08-22 21:42:00 Hmm. I found a few Atmel AT29C256's (28-pin - possibly usable directly in place of 27C256?) & a couple of AT29C512's amongst my old stuff. I know I had a decent collection of UV-erasable EPROMs (some were still "new"), but I think I consigned them to a big box of obsolete stuff I (probably) had no use for when we reorganised our offices a few years ago. Not even sure if the box still exists - I'll have to check our other building.

BTW, I'm in Wellington area - where is "32 Bitville", anyway?
