1250726 2011-12-26 22:46:00 I have two routers I want to connect, both are 4 ethernet + wireless. Is it possible to connect them (wired is fine, maybe even preferred?) so that I can plug in some media devices at the other end of the room? I have one long ethernet cable and several short ones, so wanted to put the spare router at the end of that and connect the other devices to the spare ports.

Is this possible? If so, what do I need to do? Would it be easier to do it wireless?

Thanks,
Mike.

1250728 2011-12-26 22:58:00 It is possible.
You will need to turn off DHCP on one of the routers and also change it's IP address to be in the same range as the other one.
Don't connect them using either of the WAN/Internet ports, if they have one, use one of the numbered ethernet ports on both routers.
Sometimes the routers have an option in the settings to 'Use as Access Point' or something similar, which will diasble all the routing stuff & DHCP and just make it a wireless access point with 4 ethernet ports.
