| 1225702 | 2011-08-30 04:35:00 | I considered only using a wedge, but physio said have one one feet angled all the time is bad. And I want to be active and do sports, so I guess the built up sole is the better option for me. What kind problems did you have? I cannot stand in one place for more than a few minutes and because of that I stand more on one foot than the other. This makes my feet very sore. Walking on concrete is quite difficult which also makes my feet sore. I cannot walk for more than about ten minutes as my feet become quite sore. I cannot do ironing or vacuum cleaning for very long as both activities give me a very sore back. (What a great excuse!) I have an insert that I put in the shoes I am wearing which does make life a little bit easier. I limp when I walk but the insert minimises the limp. Although one short leg is a bother to live with, I have lived with it all my life so you do, sort of, get used to it. But I would rather both legs were the same length. Life for my feet and back would be so much more simple and comfortable. But I can't complain, really. There are many people out there that are much worse off than I, so I count myself lucky that my disability is only a minor disability. |
