The spec's weren't really needed, you provided enough with the motherboard number originally,(if you know what you are doing, thats was enough) considering all you were after is an answer re an AGP card. :)

Going by HP's site, it may have a 240W Power Supply -- bit low, but as others have pointed out, its old technology.

1251768 2012-01-03 03:30:00 I agree with wainui, that card will do a reasonable job at an affordable price. PENTIUM (426)

That's a bit harsh, WT.

1251770 2012-01-03 08:19:00 Whats harsh about stating a fact after doing a bit of simple searching ??

The original post it was said the motherboard number HP 085CH.

Then a comment was made "everyones working in a information vacum here" ---- meaning no one knows the details and is only guessing, which is not correct.

If you do a search for the motherboard number every result I found said it was in the model D530.

Hence the comment " if you know what you are doing" meaning in this case the simple google search ----- maybe some people dont know how to look up spec's where others do, its called knowledge and experience.

Off topic ( kind of) for a while now, I don't know if others have noticed, but a lot of the more experienced people who can work things out without having every bit of info have slowly been disappearing from PF1, or don't help anymore.

I wonder if that's because you know it all, and are arrogant with it, as has been stated in previous posts.
Perhaps you need to climb down off your high horse.

I wonder if that's because you know it all, and are arrogant with it, as has been stated in previous posts. Really ?? care to prove that.

I state facts, not guess at what others may think. I can prove what I say if I need to, not like some here that put people completely wrong with nothing more than a guess. No one knows it all, me included. There are sometimes I dont post because I dont know the answer where some one else does.

Please dont confuse experience and knowledge with something you dont know.

There have been several posts here within PF1 over and some have answered with replies that are 100% wrong, and have only caused more damage than good. Only 2 months ago, I had a person call me who took advise from one person on PF1, they read the persons reply and it was wrong and I wont name them to save any embarrassment ( but going by their profile they are up north) - the advise given totally screwed their computer and it had to be completely reinstalled.

Since you are getting personal, I would have thought a person of your age group would have a bit more common sense than to resort to tactics like that.

And yes I know what age group you are, one I was taught to respect -- want me to post your picture here ?

Edited:

earlier on you posted this comment "No, you will probably need a PCI card, you probably have no AGP slot" if you had looked up the motherboard you would have seen it has a AGP slot. Which is all I did.

Which is all I didn't do, for gods sake, there was no need to get all uppity about it, it's a computer help forum (where people do their bit to help), not a 'do it my way or else I'll threaten you' forum.
It's not life or death, mate, relax.
