| 1251112 | 2011-12-29 21:38:00 | Might look up furmark for my HD6870 when I get home :D I've seen mine get up to 77 degrees. Should reapply the thermal paste again and give it a real *good* cleanup. |

| 1251113 | 2011-12-29 22:00:00 | I confess to not really testing anything when I built new PC's or upgraded parts in the past. But after the problems with my last 2 builds I tend to do a bit of stress testing when new now to try and be sure it's all good. Probably something any good tech would do, but us amateurs tend to be a bit sloppy :) (OK I am a Tech, just not a PC one :)) generally I use; Prime 95 + realtemp to stress test CPU Furmark to test graphics Memtest to check RAM there are a lot of tools around, that's just what I use. |

| 1251114 | 2011-12-29 22:17:00 | I keep Speccy open on a second window while playing DotA2, but I've got everything at *max* so I figure if I can stress with something dedicated to the task, it may push things up a bit higher. Or, it may prove that the card is OK and won't be overheating under any stress (Hopefully). Appreciate the heads up :) |
