| 1251046 | 2011-12-29 01:33:00 | Hi all, One of my windows XP machines has no floppy drive and I still occasionally need to boot to DOS with an ME/98 start-up floppy. Is it possible to burn the files from these floppies to a CD/DVD so I can boot to DOS with the CD/DVD? My PC can be bios-configured to select the CD/DVD drive as the first boot option. DOS is unknown territory to me...how would I go about this? many thanks!! |

DOS is unknown territory to me...how would I go about this Do you know the ( or any) commands you want to use -- may be stating the obvious here, but its all command prompt, no mouse input, you have to actually type in commands to get them to do anything. Here are just a few (www.computerhope.com) |

Comes in real handy if a system wont boot for some reason etc just download and burn the iso to disc, and then use it to boot and fix/navigate any comp at all. Instructions here for burning (www.hirensbootcd.org) if you need them |
