2011-08-31 22:01:00 | None of the items in your poll, Nomad. It is a phone for goodness sake! I make and receive phone calls and texts. That's it. That is what a phone is for! | John H (8) | |
2011-09-01 00:43:00 | Well i reached the max 10 items for the poll ... couldn't add the others in. :D The poll is eveywhere. For those of you who want to comment. If you had to compromise and can only choose THREE things what would it be? camera can be chosen (and others you can add), calling/text would be included unless you opt it out ;) Personally I only have Skype and Tetris app on mine. And, then the provided calendar, web browsers. But I really need GPS for overseas which I travel like 2 times each year. Overseas (or travelling around NZ) I check email and the news thru the accomodation via wifi and might make the occasional call or text while roaming (just so much simpler than picking up simcards) and I don't spend long in each country before I move on, like to see more places. I also use Skype via Wifi for free but with the diff timezones use email more often as I am often out doing stuff and not hunting places for Wifi. At home I just take a laptop onto the coffee table or use it at campus or at work. I don't require on the spot access :) Like to have an Android but most do not provide offline solutions, they may be some free solutions it might be a hit and a miss if you need a range of countries and if you want at least routing (text assisted) and POIs. I mean what's the point if you can't find the tourist attraction, that hotel or train station .... HTC has it but Nokia may just swing it fo me given they have voice guidance and I am not a heavy user of Smartphones. I thought about getting both, but that's probably dumb.

2011-09-01 01:26:00 | I text and make phone calls. Don't need any more stuff that I won't use on a phone. | QW. (15883) | |
2011-09-01 01:28:00 | Both of these have net access, 3G, ones prepaid (atm), email , BT. One has FB. You can use the other for FB, if you go to the site. Both have video / cams, but both don't have WI-FI. Dont really need it. And both can be connected with USB and updated / or probably used as dialup modems. I think one may support fax as well | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2011-09-01 07:05:00 | I suspect that I am trying to beat the ground up with my phone, the amount of times I've dropped it.. new category? | Catweazle (2535) | |
2011-09-01 07:27:00 | I use mine (in numerical order) for making and receiving calls and txts, also for storing and retrieving PDF manuals, occasional spreadsheets, listening to the radio and rarely, watching movies. Sometimes it links to my GPS for traffic advisories. Most of the time though, it is a bone idle pocket filler. | R2x1 (4628) | |
