I've never had a problem with Xnet's VFX after set-up (Thanks Sherman) - it works just fine. The POTS I had with Telecom on the same wires was hopeless to the extent I abandoned it and used a cell-phone and Vodem for a couple of years. Xnet were able to get a tech around that fixed things with the wiring toute suite, unlike the previous collection of Telecom loonies that were probably in search of a crowd of their peers and an infinite number of typewriters. (Later on, when installing a phone for a neighbour, a Chorus-ista managed to disconnect my line which showed more skill than I would have given him credit for.) |

It's not an NZ first. It's basically an over glorified version of their previous Orcon HomeHub, but just with the phone built-in instead of providing you with an FXS port to plug a phone of your choice into. ATA adapters have been around in this country for *years* now.
These things simply should not be going wrong. |

Reading all the peoples problems with this reminds me of all the problems I had a couple of years ago with Orcon's LLU fone service. After 8 months of not resolving anything I gave up and went back to a normal Telecom landline.. |

Very pleased with orcon Genius. After years of problems I now have a fast Broadband and clear phone. The speed increased from 2.3Mbps to 13.3Mbps after it was connected somewhere to an Optic cable. Even the FAX works. |
