| 1252274 | 2012-01-05 06:37:00 | Over the last couple of days or so the start up of windows 7 (64bit) on my machine has been really slow (like 3 - 7 minutes). This has only gotten worse (or I have only noticed it over the last few days). Did a system restore to New Years Day but to no avail. Have run malaware bytes and removed any issues detected (only 5). Any suggestions ? |

Download Portable-Revo-Uninstaller (www.softpedia.com) - Run it in advanced mode, select Ask Bar to remove _ make sure you wipe out all the reg files and directories. Simply uninstalling it wont remove it. Did you install Splashtop Connect VisualBookmark yourself ? From my sig below, get Super antispyware as well as spybot S&D, run them both in full scan modes. Malwarebytes can miss a lot of infections that others will pick up. To check out if anything is hanging on startup, click start, type in Reli Click on view Reliability History - once it opens there will be a detailed log with errors etc, if anything is a common error what is it ? Re your response about agents suggestion on the hard Drive -- He's correct, HDD's can fail at any time, could be 1 day old or 5 years old or longer /anywhere in between. |

Some drives can fail that quickly, you just have to get (un)lucky (quickest HDD failure I saw was about 1 month!) Hopefully it's just some crapware causing it instead though, but I would check it out just in case. |
