A fair while ago I saw a reel-to-reel tape deck happily playing and displaying the output on an oscilloscope while the whole kit and kaboodle was submerged. It was quite a while ago - - - the liquid was Freon and nobody was wearing floppy hats. (Except the ones with corks on strings hanging from the brim - - it was in Sydney at a large trade show.) |
