| 1226865 | 2011-09-18 23:25:00 | Not a whole lot - basically faster internet, as long as you are on a plan that supports ADSL2, and your modem is ADSL2 compatible. The theoretical maximum speed would rise from around 8mbps to 24mbps - although you'll never actually achieve that, a few places around glenaven drive are getting up to 21mbps which is pretty good. If you want to check on the status of your own address pop it in here. | 1226868 | 2011-09-19 04:37:00 | I hardly care, it's guaranteed to be more expensive than my ADSL2+ which at 14Mbit is already more than enough for everything I've thrown at it so far, also the caps will probably be less if it is the same price, and then I'd have to buy a new router anyway! Only thing that would be nice is faster upload (say, to host my own website or something) but then I'd want a huge data cap (or none) so that's not really viable either. |

| 1226869 | 2011-09-19 05:28:00 | It pays to know how far you are from yours. I'm ~350m but I'm getting the speeds I should be getting as though I were 2.7KM away. Naturally I've lodged a fault with Chorus to get them to look into things, as apparently I'm the *fastest* on this particular cabinet (Which went in just 4-6 weeks ago) at 9.9mbps... |
