1253826 2012-01-13 04:48:00 Does anyone have any experiences with NetGear ReadyNas Pro2 and UPS?

I have setup a number of PCs and servers with UPS and the software to gracefully shut down the PC/Server when there is a power outage. Given that the ReadyNas is not a PC, not sure if any UPS can communicate with them to shut them down gracefully.

Accordingly to ReadyNas.com, "most" APC UPS with USB ports are compatible but would be good to have some real world feedback from people who have actually used products that are compatible.

As for general PCs, are there much differences between APC, Litebert, Digitus and Dynamix?

Update: Found this post on the forum ...

Check the Official Hardware Compatibility List ( readynas.com ) as well as the Community Hardware Compatibility List (www.readynas.com) for ideas.

Frontview will only shutdown the NAS when it receives a low-battery warning from the UPS.

I will read through those posts but would still be good if anyone have any real world experiences to share. Thanks
