1228850 2011-09-05 00:38:00 All the duty free shops at Auckland Airport seem to sell the same stuff - frangances, souvenirs and cameras but what if you want something out of the ordinary?

I am looking for an aircraft scanner and wondered if there was a duty free shop in Auckland or Sydney that sold that type of thing. Has anyone seen duty free aircraft scanners for sale in either of these places?

Thanks for your help.

1228851 2011-09-05 01:04:00 Why do you want to try to buy this item "Duty Free" - all you'll be saving is the GST - and you could probably source something from a local electronics store cheaper anyway, since Duty Free stores only have a very limited selection of (high volume/high margin) stuff - like alcohol and tobacco and perfume... johcar (6283)

This is a good price for the AR 108

I will be travelling shortly, I want an aircraft scanner, and thought that buying one duty free might be a good idea. And you are right, duty free stores only have a limited selection but I wondered if there was a duty store in downtown Auckland or downtown Sydney where I might be able to buy one. Anything I can save is a bonus.
