But I think everyone is happy to be alive and everyone also wants the head of every insurance employee. I personally know plenty of people losing money on their houses. | 1228619 | 2011-09-05 20:52:00 | It has certainly been a interesting year of shakes. But it could have been much much worse than what it was. September, we were lucky it was early in the weekend. Feb, wife and I were right in the central city with buildings falling all around us. Took almost 4 hours to get from the city to Ferrymead. House was damaged but at least we still had 4 walls and a roof compared to many people. Not that ECQ can see any damage to our place. House and contents can be replaced, your wife and children cannot be replaced. And then the Govt steps in, with there land and house buy options which was somewhat of a surprise. Anywhere else and you would be dealing with your insurance company for ever in a day. |
