Which is playable. Playable doesn't mean it's going to look and feel nice though... In my opinion, if a system can't handle the game on full detail settings then it's not fast enough. |

| 1253217 | 2012-03-06 08:20:00 | Meh im not a huge stickler for graphics quality as long as the game play is good. This is why i mostly play arma2. Anyways my components will arrive soon ( excited), any tips for building? | Slankydudl (16687) | ||
| 1253218 | 2012-03-06 10:05:00 | Tips? Hmm.. Going by the layout of your case, it looks like it will be easier to put the PSU and any DVD drives into the case before anything else. Since the hard drives go sideways you could do those later, but might want to make sure you have the power cables for them routed correctly first. Make sure you get the motherboard standoffs\spacers in the correct places! It's no fun when you get them wrong and are greeted upon pressing the power button with smoke and a horrible smell. Don't forget to get the motherboard's I/O shield into the case ready for you to install the board. Try not to cut your fingers, some of them can have horribly sharp edges. I find it's always easier to put the CPU and RAM into the motherboard before putting it into the case. Double-check all connections before powering up. Take basic ESD precautions, Handle boards by their edges - and don't assemble the system on carpet, while wearing socks, a polyester\nylon shirt and holding your cat. But finally: we know that building your first system is exciting, but if you're unsure of something, take the time to ask here - getting it wrong and breaking something takes all the excitement away :( |
