1229032 2011-09-07 06:46:00 At the time she was trying to install some P2P software to download music, movies etc -- I did ask her if she had heard about the new copyright laws regarding illegal downloading & using P2P software being the target ? -- she said yes - but didn't seem to worry about it, as she was trying to install iMesh (http://www.imesh.com/) which came with the ipad, it keep on saying error.

I did say that legally paid for music and movies from the likes of iTunes was fine. ( got a filthy look)

She was complaining / mumbling to herself about couldn't do this couldn't do that - I was concentrating on what I was doing, which was installing and fixing two laptops and a desktop all at the same time. She mumbled something about this heap of **** wont do what I want - I was just about to ask what, then came the "****in heap of crap " waste of ****in money - whooose -- BANG against the wall -her son went to pick it up, said ---- mum its not going now, think you broke it.
The fact its a windows program didn't give her a clue
EDIT, I really don't know why she would have thought imesh came with the ipad for...Probably says more about your client then the device.but at least you get work from her stupidity

1229033 2011-09-07 07:12:00 I don't know the full story as she had been playing about with it when I arrived, I was there to fix the laptops and desktops and to put the iPad on the Internet (thats all I was asked about from the phone call).

Set up the wireless (again) The iPad had never been on the Internet as they forgot the wireless password I had put on their router approx 6 months ago, they said I had suggested to write it down and keep in a safe place, or make a password they wouldn't forget - they didn't do either

She asked about downloading music / movies (thats when I commented on the new law) - She said the imesh app download/install option was on the iPad when they brought it. I did have a quick glance, and there was defiantly something called imesh.

How the link got on there I have no idea. It had nothing on it from what I was told , apart from the standard apps / operations as from stock. Had to show how to work the web browser - thats when I got to work on the other PC's.

Come to think of it, its the second person this week that I have been to that had ipads, one didn't have any problems only mentioned they had purchased many albums from iTunes and had to figure out how to get them to their PC.

1229034 2011-09-07 07:16:00 I'll buy all of those , just not Crapple Products.

Then your problem with foxconn doesn't really add up.

1229035 2011-09-07 08:39:00 The link I posted was meant in a light hearted way -- dont make it something its not . ( or are you just trying to be a smart arse)

I dont have a problem with foxconn at all . The name brand I dont like (like millions of others world wide) is the apple brand, and I dont care who manufactures it .

Sorry, but I'm like many others, I simply dont like apple as a company - end of story . There are some people who dont like windows, samsung and many other branded products, and thats their rights, just the apple fan boys like to push the apple / MAC product/name as the best, when in fact its not, not every one gets brainwashed into apples ways .

As it says in the second link "Apple and its customers are today's L . Ron Hubbard and Scientology: a community of believers completely detached from reality . "

Most MAC users say MAC's dont break down -- what a load of rubbish -- a few weeks back I had at least 5 calls in two days from different people wanting to know if I could fix their MAC or Ipad ( 4 MAC's & 1 iPad) -- WHY -- because as one person advised all the official repair companies were saying in WGTN there was at least a three to four week waiting time before they could even look at them, due to a backlog of hardware repairs . Some of the prices quoted were outrageous to have a problem looked at as well .
