| 1254013 | 2012-01-14 11:05:00 | Is this the one? www.computerlounge.co.nz That's the one. It does vent out to the rear but it's certainly not airtight, so some of the air is 'leaked' back into the case. |

| 1254015 | 2012-01-14 22:44:00 | So? Make sure the case has decent airflow. Exactly. If you're worried about warmer air in your case, you might want to think about getting an intake fan or an extra exhaust fan. What model is your case? Are you planning on running SLI sometime in the future? |

| 1254016 | 2012-01-15 00:23:00 | Sorry to disagree Jareemon, but although that card does have a rear vent it is not designed for all the air to come out it. It largely vents into the case (not leakage, just the way it's designed). There is no way for that style of fan to rear vent properly, especially when there is more than one or it is mid mounted and they depend on reasonable case airflow to deal with the heat. It is also a bad design for SLI or crossfire use, especially when there is no air gap between cards. My 580 is exactly the same, just bigger. But I don't have issues in my case either. As long as you have at least one good exhaust fan on your case it should be fine, but I do prefer the rear venting design myself (like the card I linked as an example earlier). |

Very seldom hear the GPU either except when starting up. If the GPU was venting directly into the case the fans would have to work a bit harder & make more noise. |
