| 1253528 | 2012-01-11 06:43:00 | I can see the Recovery ID on the screen. The first set of characters are 'BE27E6FD". I can use the function keys for the numbers but the letters will not appear. Any ideas how I enter a 'B'. |

| 1253531 | 2012-01-11 08:54:00 | Recovery password: A numerical key protector for recovery purposes. Recovery key: An external key for recovery purposes. The Recovery Key would be a file generated when Bitlocker was enabled that you have stored in a safe place and should now have available on a USB stick. The recovery password should be 48 digits only, that you have written down and now have available to type in. The Recovery ID that you see is merely a tag to find your record in your company's AD database. If your PC is not part of a company domain, and you don't have either the key file or the 48 digit password, then it looks like it is time to start recreating all that data that you will never see again. On the plus side, the CIA and Joe Criminal won't get it either ... :) |
