I was on the Windows 95 beta test team, I had almost a year of free MSN connection at that stage and used to have to DL the updates via a 14400 modem on dialup. It was great compared to old Win3.1 and Win3.1WFWG. No more hassling with Chameleon and Trumpet Winsock after Win95 got going. Telnetting into ICONZ when they were in based in Airedale Street with one of the roughest offices (if you could call it an office) I have ever visited, and connecting to text based search engines like Veronica and Archie and News server and email all text based. We have come a long way since the WWW in 1994. |
