| 418 | 1998-09-26 08:33:00 | H E L P ! For no apparent reason my perfectly serviceable MS fax has taken to dropping the first digit of the area code on overseas nos. - EVEN THOUGH THE NO. INITIALLY APPEARS CORRECTLY IN THE DIAL UP WINDOW, THEN DROPS A DIGIT AS IT STARTS TO DIAL. Tried removing / reinstalling Exchange, and even reinstalled Windows 95. It was working fine previously. Mcafee virus scan (with Sept.98 dat file) proved negative. Programme WILL DIAL if I put the missing no. in twice in the area code. PLEASE ...... WHAT HAS HAPPENED / HOW CAN I FIX IT ?! All other modem / net functions work fine, including the speed dialler ! |
