I notice that there is an application file called 'wswpd.exe' that lives in my printer folder that loads on startup and makes my CPU work at 100% all the time. By closing the program by alt-ctl-del: end task, the CPU work-rate usually drops back to around 2-5%. I don't need the application running to print but the system crashes when printing has finished when the printer progress box closes. It is a Xerox laser printer that is now obsolete but I have had an excellent run with it. |
