| 789 | 1998-11-14 02:10:00 | I was wondering if anybody could help me with a problem I have with an HP 6100c Scanjet scanner. When you first start it up you need to run the scanner test program before you can use it. Then you can start DeskScan (which I use is Version 2.9). After you have done a scan and leave the scanner for about a minute or two then come back to do another scan after pressing the preview button you get an error message saying 'Sorry the scanner has experienced an error' at which point you have to turn the scanner off wait a couple of seconds and switch it back on, then wait until it has made a few noises before you can use it again. The period between leaving it and getting the error message seems to increase the more it is used and the more it warms up. The scanner is connected to a P11 333mhz running windows 98 via the supplied SCSI card. The problem never seemed to appear on a 133mhz running windows 95. Is this a problem of windows 98. Thank you Geoff Wootton |
