| 764 | 1998-11-09 23:21:00 | I have two columns labelled COST and RATES. I want to define a new name called RESULT that multiplies COST by RATES. Under Insert, Name, Define for RESULT, in the 'refer to:' box I type =COST*RATE. When I put the formula =RESULT into the sheet, I get #NUM as the result. (Note: If I label individual cells, rather than entire columns, things work.) Help would be appreciated. Thanks, Martin |
