| 1254719 | 2012-01-17 19:35:00 | Just seen a Dell Inspiron 1300 here that locked up loading drivers . Turned out someone had enabled the wireless card a short while ago and this caused the lockup . This machine just won't run with the card enabled . The wireless hardware is the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 BG mini-PCI . When enabled it adds 10 or so entries into Device Mgr . I tried re-seating the card but no diff . The Dell diagnostics thought it was OK . Loaded latest dvrs - no diff . Luckily, in this case, this is not a real problem as the owner only uses it infrequently via dial-up but I hate being beaten!! Lots of googling with no real leads . Maybe the card is just faulty . Anyone seen anything like this? |

Had one a few months back, the Dell PC didn't like the wireless card I was trying to install, had to get a different brand, yet the original card worked perfectly in one of the workshop PC's . |

Could there be an interaction between the drivers??? Sounds weird, I know, as there would be a lot more problems around if this was the case. |
