1254617 2012-01-17 01:36:00 Well you've got the Mobo, the cpu, the case/psu, and the gpu so you'll want some ram next, something like this perhaps www.ascent.co.nz jareemon (5207)
1254618 2012-01-17 01:40:00 What is your budget? Do you want an SSD and an HDD or just a HDD?
Do you want a bluray writer/bluray reader dvd writer combo drive/dvd writer?
Are you planning on doing any overclocking?
Do you want to game at 120hz or 60hz @ higher settings?

1254619 2012-01-17 01:52:00 Is this the case ? www.antec.com
I like Antec cases, however personally I'd look for something with front USB3.0 (to future proof a bit) and without a PSU so you can buy a good one to suit your system.
That case has a 500W PSU which is adequate if it's a good one but for a gaming PC I'd recommend a 600-700W corsair or similar, maybe 850W or higher if you think you might go SLI.

There are beginning to be a few options around with USB 3.0, I'd seriously consider them.

The rest depends on budget as Jareemon mentioned, any good Hdd, 8GB DDR3 Dual channel RAM, and a copy of windows 7 64bit would be a good starting point.
If you can afford it an SSD as a boot drive is a nice option.

1254620 2012-01-17 03:04:00 thanks guys,
I was going to go for the SSD/HDD combo anyway but thanks for the tipps on the case/PSU and RAM, will do some snooping around
will go for bluray reader dvd writer combo drive if it is in my budget of roughly 1k+
:thanks

Antec PSUs are good.
But yeah....maybe 600-700w though...

1254622 2012-01-19 00:27:00 I have taken your suggestions and decided on a DF-85 case with a 700W Corsair PSU and Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz RAM. Is the H100 CPU cooler compatible with this case?
thanks

1254623 2012-01-19 00:46:00 wow that's a big mother case (I cant talk mine is too) www.bit-tech.net has a good review.

There is, however, enough space for most double 140mm radiators with 15mm fan spacing. Also present is a single USB 3 port, which might prove useful in the future, along with three USB 2 ports, and microphone and headphone jacks.

So it looks like it will fit.
Thats a serious cooler though, I assume you plan on getting the 2500K as opposed to the straight 2500 and overclocking it? otherwise that cooler is total overkill.
I have an Antec Kuhler which is similar to the H80 (same oem manufacturer as well) but I think the radiator is thinner. At 4.1Ghz and 100% loading my CPU stays in the low to mid 60's and you can't hear the cooler :)

Just for interest's sake here's my cooler www.pp.co.nz
and my case www.computerlounge.co.nz (I love having a handle for LAN parties)

1254624 2012-01-19 00:57:00 thanks will look at that Nerdtastic (16693)
1254625 2012-01-19 19:24:00 I have that mobo and CPU, and Dugimodo's additions. But I don't have front USB3 and would really like it

That mobo will take Intel Rapid Storage. I have that but would not necessarily recommend it. It gives me a usual load time of 1 min 4 sec. From pressing power button to useable desktop
