And then there was the container-carrying machines whizzing around a wharf....what they had to do with anything was beyond me. |

It seems that your culture needs to be of the brown stoneage kind before it can be truly called culture. As Zippity has said, the 90% of the population that is white can go to hell. I was of the misguided opinion that we lived in a democracy which means that the majority rules, but the NZ type democracy means that we pander to the other 10% which, in my opinion, is wrong. Don't go to hell until you've helped pay for the whole thing. Rest assured Whitie, you've still got your part to play in all this... possibly for years to come. Very true indeed. That's the way it works. 10% of the population are pushed to the fore, the other 90% - who are not even acknowledged - have the privelidge of paying for it. Doesn't that make you feel good?:annoyed: |

| 1229989 | 2011-09-10 07:49:00 | 90% of the so called spectacle was Maori/Islander based. I guess the 90% of the white population that I am part of can go to hell. I embarrassed to be a Kiwi :( Yep the opening of the Maori World Cup went well. Guess all those overseas viewers all think that we are half dressed savages running around in grass skirts.. |

| 1229992 | 2011-09-10 08:38:00 | Yeah but racist twaddle aside (there are some real twats on this forum), just how did they do those images?? They had a huge plastic mat type thing covering the field, and an image was projected on to it probably from numerous projectors. You could see the projected image on many of the people standing down there. |

| 1229994 | 2011-09-11 00:37:00 | England vs Argentina was an awesome game. Went to the Carterton rugby festival yesterday, Plenty of singing, dancing, a haka or 2, Bouncy castles, hotdogs, prizes and rugby action going on everywhere, including kids games where they were wearing the international teams colors (Wales vs south Africa) That was far more entertaining then the pretentious dribble they had at the world cup opening. |
