Price the equivalent parts up yourself at CL or ascent and see how they compare, I'm guessing it will be very close.
They specify either Asus or gigabyte motherboard so it's probably whichever they can get cheaper at the time, the software is all free or trial versions so it means nothing.

The Thermaltake PSU will be ok, but likely one of the cheaper models with wildly exaggerated ratings.
Only positive feedback is a good sign, but you have to wonder what the service will be like if you have any problems when using a trademe supplier.

shudder. Note that comp also is lacking an OS but I think you said you had a key? Also raidmax cases are of the worst build quality. They are 110% terrible. Also I feel as if that computer is over priced considering you dont even get an OS. IMO you'd be better off building yourself, it's not that hard.

See how he'd want for the whole lot.

1254975 2012-01-20 07:19:00 No-one seems to mention Paradigm PCs much (pp.co.nz) but I always find them to be pretty good on price and never had problems, free delivery etc. Returning something should it break is no hassle either. Am way behind on this year's decent PC spec (my last build was an AMD 640) but one thing I have found to be good value for money is the Neo Eco 620C PSU. Was about $100, nothing fancy just good and reliable.
Can also second the comment about raidmax cases, they are hideously flimsy.

Lately though I've used Computerlounge a bit more, CL prices are slightly better, PP has a much bigger range, both have good service.

I find CL better for Gaming hardware and PP much better when working on a budget PC, but you should always check several places when pricing this stuff up.
As for building it yourself, up to you but most of these sites will assemble it for you for bugger all.
Even if I was having it built, I much prefer chosing all my own components over a pre-built model.
