1229520 2011-09-08 20:11:00 It's all because the various NZ govts in recent times have been keen to suck up to vested US interests in order to get on-side with the US leaders.

All in the missguided belief that it'll lead to more advantageous trade / info sharing negotiations.

What they haven't learnt yet is that the US never negotiates anything that isn't going to further US interests at the expense of the rest of the world.

The only negotiation with the USA should be the finger.

Agreed a Free Trade deal with the USA will mean nothing to us.

Their diary industry is huge and they will put up all sort of barriers to our meat, and fruit etc.

I think the Aussies found this out.

Slightly off topic, but I think we should go ahead with the Pacific trade deal without the USA, that would really stick it up to them.

They have not even signed (ratified) the deal they did with South Korea a few years ago.

The Democrats are not for free trade.

And they are dropping the USA dollar by a lot to increase their exports and putting all sorts of pressure on other countries.

1229522 2011-09-09 21:43:00 But how does using an anonimous proxy server work? Does it mean that if I download a movie, mp3, or whatever through a proxy server, does that mean the owner of the proxy server can be fined, even if that server is based overseas? Does using a proxy server mean the origin of the file is untraceable?

No but the proxy will be in a country that doesnt have this law
