1229634 2011-09-08 07:32:00 Nope ... sorry, but an E-type should be a V12 ... nothing less ~!
The E type came with a Straight 6 and a V12. I used to blow the cobwebs out of a V12 on the Albany highway. 100mph past Kristin school! As the speed increased the car seemed to get lower on the road.

Yuck, i'd take a 4.2 series 1.5 anyday over a series 3.

1229637 2011-09-08 08:15:00 That's the joy of having a car that's styled instead of designed. All that electronic tomfoolery from the company that has such a proud record in electrical systems - like Lucas with auto-fail plus. R2x1 (4628)
1229638 2011-09-08 10:03:00 Takes me back to 1975 when I got my new XJ6C ... Drove it through Nevada once (Reno to Las Vegas), averaging 95 mph for 6 hours ... way to GO!

I seem to remember them getting a little unstable over 100mph.
