| 1254912 | 2012-01-18 23:47:00 | Hi All I have a Brother HL-2170W Printer which won't connect to our home network via either a wired or wireless connection. It used to conect via a wired connection but won't even do that anymore! Can anyone recommend a stable, reliable and easy to set (re: network connection)up Black-only laser printer? Cheers |

| 1254913 | 2012-01-19 03:40:00 | The last few Brothers I have installed, when you put in the software for the printer, you can select either connected directly Via USB, Wireless / Ethernet -- it goes off and searches for the printer thats connected by Ethernet or wireless - if you select that option, installs the drivers, and makes the connection. It doesn't actually give an IP address to manually enter, Brother puts in its own networking software. As long as the connection Network Connection on the printer is not broken, or a firewall stopping it,it should detect. Mines a Brother 2250DN ( not wireless) but is network attached. |
