| 1230239 | 2011-09-13 00:39:00 | Oh wow no java! I like the sounds of the c55 clone already :D Will grab it tonight and give it a whirl. That's the worst about minecraft is the insane memory requirements. For a 'basic' game, the system resources it consumes is insane! |

| 1230240 | 2011-09-13 00:50:00 | Yeah the only problem is it's pretty early\buggy - there's a package for Ubuntu and OSX but for Windows looks like you have to compile it yourself. The testing version is called Minetest delta and it probably crashes even more. Still, the performance is certainly a lot better, it uses a proper 3D rendering system (Irrlicht 3D) Best of all, it's free! |
