| 860 | 1998-11-24 06:46:00 | Is it possible to write a batch file to start/open all contents in a folder residing on the desktop. It would be an advantage to use this folder to insert shortcuts/documents/programs that you want to open at startup time but not automatically as with the startup folder. This would speed up restarts which are normally slowed by Office shortcut bars, Norton programs etc. It would also give the user great flexibility as to what they want to start by simply dragging files, programs or shortcuts to and from this folder and running them all at once when required. ie Sometimes they may not want office etc if they have only turned on the PC for games or to check email. Items from the automatic Startup folder could be removed or transferred to this folder. |
