847 1998-11-23 05:39:00 From PentiumII 233 to PC286 in a few hours!

Having been 'gifted' with a memory problem resulting from trying out 'Nuts & Bolts CHE', I seek F1's help ( which is a change from Ctrl + Alt + Delete)
I boot up my PentiumII MMX 233 64Kram which opens windows 95 normally(as it has always done) But after 2-3 hrs I observe that opening up files, apps or anything starts to become laboured as tho' the machine has changed to a 286. If I carry on, it will grind to a halt and fall over with the 'blue and white' horror notice. I have to close & reboot in order to gain some memory, physical or otherwise. Two notices have appeared recently, one on a reboot and the other prior to crashing.

1. 'CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded. Press F1 to continue'

2. ' WINDOWS
Terminating threads due to stack overflow problem. A VxD, possibly recently installed, has consumed too much stack space. Increase the setting of MinSPs' in SYSTEM.INI or remove recently install VxD's. There are currently 5 SP's allocated. Press any key to continue.'

Ref. this last one: I can't find any reference to MinSPs' in file System.ini. The most recent virtual device drivers files of 104Kb, 11Kb and 162Kb belong to a recent installation of a Zip up App which creates file and folder space to programs that gets little use but wish to retain. (Everything was ok before installing Dr N&B - now trashed). This program was issuing warnings that only 1mb of my 64mb ram remained!!!
Any help short of a format would be appreciated. Eric Marsh <edm@clear.net.nz>
