| 831 | 1998-11-22 09:39:00 | ~FrontPage fights my system! MS FrontPage is unwilling to run unless I am on line! I am running five P120 machines networked with cards, and sharing one modem with I-Share software. FrontPage at first refused to install beyond 98%. I quit I-Share with CTRL+ ALT+DEL, and tried to install again - failure again. I uninstalled whatever there was and installed again, but this time declining to have FrontPage set up a Personal Web Server. This time the installation went smoothly, but the programme will run only when the network is on line. Now this is hardly an sensible proposition, although we are on a bulk rate service and it doesn't hurt all that much. But I don't like it and I would like the software to run regardless of whether the network is on line or not. Help please. Malcolm |
