| 965 | 1998-12-12 10:10:00 | I'm currently in charge of a adding 3d to 3 computers. The computers themselves are K6-2 300s running on ALi Chipset motherboards, the first Grahpics card I attempted was a 2d/3d 16 meg Riva TNT, these later proved to be totaly incompatible with the chipsets on the motherboard (which for other reasons can't be changed), These were then exchanged at the reccomendation of the retailer. I've now decided to go towards some sort of 3dfx Voodoo arangment and are looking with interest at the Voodoo Banshee. However, it worries me that these may turn out to be like their ill fated predecessors, the Voodoo Rush with endless conflicts and not-quite-compatible drivers. Can anybody cast any light on this with their experiances or knowledge? Thank you in advance, Edward Murrell |
