My CD-ROM drive will not recognise any disk placed in the tray after I eject the disk contained at boot .. and faults if there is no disk at boot. Otherwise it works fine. I can get the system to recognise the new disk by launching the CD player .. in which case autoplay (data) works. Autoplay music doesn't work in either options. I have a CD420E Creative drive hooked to the 2nd IDE controller. This has occurred following a 'reinstall' of Win95b. I had the same problem when I first installed Win95 but solved it then, however I can not remember how ... I have tried deleteing the CD-ROM in Device Manager & leting Win reinstall on boot .. I have deleted the 2nd IDE controller & let Win find the CD following both manual & win reinstall of the controller. I have tried to load a new driver (sbide95 x CLabs) yet this doesn't seem to have been of any help as it requires connection through a CD-ROM Controller vs my 2nd IDE HDD connection ... HELP PLEASE. |
