I'm running Windows 98 on a Pentium 200 with 32 Mb memory and getting increasing frustrated by the system totally freezing so that I have to reboot. I don't know if this is caused by Windows or an intermitant hardware fault. It does not correlate with any particular application program. I hear a couple of 'pings' and then everything is dead, no mouse, no keyboard, no response to CTRL-ALT-DEL, and no response to NUM LOCK.
Does anybody know what causes this or how to track it down? |
