| 988 | 1998-12-21 11:14:00 | Windows 98 installed OK but the video adapter with a SIS6205 driver (updated by the 98 upgrade) was causing problems with explorer. We have loaded the latest driver ( provided by the manufacturer but quite old 'thanks pcdirect') but after changing the resolution to 600x800 the icons and menu bars have corrupt colours. Are there any files in win98 that can be reloaded to solve this problem as my shortcuts etc on the desktop are multi coloured. Also how is it possible to re-load the driver from the 98 cd as i suspect the driver provided by the manufacturer was older than the one provided by 98?????? We have run the system file checker in 98 and the system files all seem to be ok......help please..... |
