| 1076 | 1999-01-15 01:56:00 | I would like to know if you can create an 'empty' cell from a formula. Frequently I create line charts from a data series. Often some data samples are missing. These leave an empty cell which leaves a gap in the chart, which is what I want. In virtually all cases the data series need some manipulation before they can be charted. Any formula working on an empty cell results in a zero. I can with an IF function convert zeros to nulls, but either zeros or nulls result in a zero plot on the chart, not a gap. How can I say '=IF(cell abc=0,then empty cell, cell abc)'. At present the only way I have found to empty a cell is to select it and manually clear or delete it Thanks for your help. |
