| 1085 | 1999-01-16 01:03:00 | Do you have any suggestions for solving the problem of data becoming corrupt on a Win 98 and Win 95 network. Most of our client machines (486 DX2 66's) have fairly old ISA network cards (using NE2000 drivers) but our server (PII 400) has a new PCI network card. The data becomes corrupt when installing MS programs (that is the setup programs bringing up errors stating the data is corrupt) via the server and when using DOS programs under Windows. The cabling has been checked and is fine and the server network card has been replaced. Any suggestions would be much appreciated as we have spent weeks getting no where and have to continually restore backups of the DOS accounting program (stored on the server) (which the supplier has stated is Win 98 compatible) due to corrupt data. |
