1165	1999-02-03 23:39:00	Hi there: Following various reports about the latest Intel CPU, I have decided to have a quick snoofing around my computer. Sometime ago I modified the 'cookie.txt' file, erased every thing in it, then set the properties to 'Read-Only'. For a while nothing has happened, or at least I thought so. Using Netscape, I can still access all the web sites without any hassle , no error message popping up. I only used Internet Explorer once or twice by accident and have got rid of it from the desktop (there are only two items 'My computer' and 'Recycle Bin' on the desktop). However, I am aware of the mm2048.dat & mm256.dat. This time I first deleted those two, then restarted the Netscape, two new mm2048.dat & mm256.dat were duly regenerated. Changing the properties to 'Read-Only'. I restarted the Netscape 2nd time. Whoohoo, came up a nice box with the following message: 'Error Initializing the cache, Shutdown all programs and run scandisk or chkdsk. Delete the cache, cookies and history directories in your windows directory and then restart IE. If the problem persists reinstall IE.' For a moment or two, I am stunned. IE? What for?
