| 1245 | 1999-02-17 04:47:00 | I have had an on-going problem for a year now, concerning the system battery. The battery goes flat every 3 months and consequently the date and time stays as when switched off. A new battery cures the problem for 3 months. I have had several mother board changes done as the vendor claimed that this must be the cause. It still does it! Can the power supply be the cause? (It is an ATX power supply which is switched off at the wall when the PC is not in use rather than leaving it on standby) As you can imagine this is a long term problem which takes 3 months to see if any change has been successful! Maybe someone else has suffered from this. |
