I had same prob a while back and changed the channel in my wireless router from 11 to 9. WPA2 secured with passphrase. That worked for me.

Thank you for this, I changed the setting from Auto to channel 11 and it worked! All the other devices connected automatically as well.

What are these channels and any idea why this may have happened?

1255832 2012-01-25 23:11:00 I believe it may have something to do with someone close by, eg neighbour with new cordless phone or wireless network. Don't know for sure though.

Android app, WiFi Analyser, is good for checking for channel use.
